Not exactly peanuts

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.–George Washington Carver

Born into slavery in 1864 George Washington Carver is widely credited with the advent of peanut butter. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and they have been my work day lunch for many years. Monks Wheat or Sunflower bread and good smooth peanut butter is my favorite noonday repast. Many times my coworkers chide me about my simple lunch. I also love to eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches. They are a great energy boost. Winter has broken here in Franklinville as yesterday the temperature approached 50 degrees fahrenheit. Maple syrup producers like my father-in-law have begun their sweet harvest that is a herald of springtime. My wife made me some pancakes with this year’s syrup earlier this week.
