A breath of fresh air

The presidential candidate debates have been pretty dry with a few exceptions like Dennis Kucinich, Senator Gravel and Rep. Ron Paul. All three have been cast as outside the mainstream. Out of the mainstream is the tag you face if you have the audacity to buck conventional wisdom which is usually wrong. George S. Patton once said, “where everyone is thinking alike no one is really thinking.” I think he would have liked Ron Paul. After all Ron Paul is really trying to save American lives. Another thing I like about Ron Paul is that he’s a veteran of the United States military. Imagine that a Republican with a military record. That’s a change. Ron actually served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a flight surgeon. His critics include Rudy Giulianni who didn’t have the courage of conviction to serve in the U.S. Military. Don’t you love hypocrites like Rudy criticizing real patriots like Ron Paul? I like Ron Paul he’s a real conservative. Barry Goldwater would have been proud to serve with Ron Paul.

Taken from Ron Paul’s website:

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul’s Record
He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
