Living by the sword has its risks

George Bush’s favorite reason for the Iraq War is “fighting them there so we don’t have to fight them here.” I knew that was simplistic and misleading but had nothing to refute that until now. In today’s New York Times there is an article that is quite informative and alarming. Our “War on Terror” is actually producing more terror and for all of us. Follow this link to an informative article. Thanks to the decider-in-chief and the spineless congress we are spawning more terrorists. Write or call your representatives and ask them if they have a brain or a place to put one and how they respond to what’s being published in this regard. Ask them if they have thought of this.

Maybe we can do more to support the troops by de-funding rather than defending the war. Maybe a Department of Peace is a good thing. Maybe just maybe peace really is the way to end terrorism. Maybe Gandhi, King, Merton, Thich Nhat Hanh, the Dalai Lama, Buddha and Jesus are right.

  1. Once everyone who lives by the sword dies at the hands of others living by the sword, then Peace will reign. The only wining move, is not to play the game.

That is the nature of the Absolute.

Polarities and dualities are results of believing in nonsense: A limited Unlimited and an impotent Omnipotance.
