Internet Monk is offering a free podcast of Thomas Merton. It’s very cool to know that Merton is still causing such a stir in the evangelical community. I haven’t listened to much of the podcast but so far it is interesting. Contemplative prayer gets short shrift in much of the evangelical community. There are many from that paradigm of Christianity that see contemplative prayer as New Age.

However, I just want to let you know I am grateful for this page as I have recently discovered Father Thomas Dubay, SM and am so grateful to FINALLY come across someone who can discrime comtemplation, and deeper union with God. I hope this is what your page does. If it does, I will return to it as I am so very thirsty for deeper, more intimate union with God.
