I got a poster mailed to me this week from the Peace Alliance. I used to think that our generation was going to be the one to end war. We had a lot of idealism in the 1960’s and 1970’s. We’d lived through Vietnam with its lies and subterfuge and we were seasoned. There was a refreshing idealism about the Age of Aquarius. Sunday is Fathers Day and most Dads I know want their sons and daughter to have healthy and happy lives. Most dads don’t want war. Most fathers want peace. Tomorrow I’ll be attending Mass at Mt. Irenaeus to worship the Prince of Peace. I wish you and your families peace and all that is good.
