Stark contrast

Today, on Fox News Sunday, George Herbert Walker Bush appeared with Chris Wallace in a segment that really speaks for itself. The senior Mr. Bush gets emotional in discussing the treatment afforded captured Iraqis by U.S. soldiers in 1991. I thought back then that President Bush ’41 showed remarkable restraint in going to war. He really did use military force as the last option. I remember how emotional he became on many occasions when interviewed by the media. Unlike his son and many of today’s war hawks President Bush ’41 actually was in harms way and was very unwilling to put other men and women in the same predicament. I wish his son would have shown the same restraint five years ago.
