I’m going to be on vacation for about ten days. I’m not sure how much I’ll be writing, but I’ll certainly have a chance to see some new things and be exposed to more sunlight than I’ve been getting lately. We’re headed to Arizona and I know we’ll see more sun and it will be bit warmer than it’s been here lately. Winter has returned to Western New York with full fury. We couldn’t compete with the folks in Redfield, New York that received over eleven feet of snow, but we have close to twenty-four inches on the ground and our driveway entrance is beginning to resemble a redoubt. While I’m away we’ve made reservations to visit Karchner Cavern near Tucson, Arizona. I hope to be able to visit the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Friars have a lovely retreat center there. The southwestern desert can be lovely and it’s certainly going to be a drastic change from all the snow and cold.
