Greenspan confirms that the Iraq war was about oil and not about terrorism. Saddam Hussein was removed from power not because he was a bad guy, but because he controlled so much of the world’s oil supply that both Britain and the United States wanted. In following the dots it’s reasonable to infer then that the attacks of September 11, 2001 were self serving for the Bush Administration. The PNAC had stipulated that America needed a Pearl Harbor type event to justify an invasion of Iraq. How convenient that nine months into the Bush Administration the United States would be attacked in such a “Pearl Harbor” fashion. Why else was there a reason for a bait and switch? Why has Bin Laden never been brought to justice and why else does the Bush Administration continue to insist that Iraq is the central front in the war on terror. I believe that history will show that 9/11 was a contrived event with full knowledge of the inner circles of our own government. I can’t prove it but it’s a hunch I’ve had for sometime. I continue to pray for peace and I continue to hope that we will explore new sources of energy.
