“If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”–2 Chronicles 7:14.
I’ve been thinking of this line a lot lately. I just heard Jesse Jackson end his talk on the mall with that quote. I’ve liked this quote since I first heard it. I’ve been thinking about what we can do to bring peace and justice and how we can end the war and the grip of the military industrial complex. There is power in scripture. The word of God is sharper than any two edged sword.
“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” — Hebrews 4:12.
