I outsmarted myself this morning in attempting to download and install the Debian client for SecondLife my package manager got “smoked”. Oh, well it was time for a rebuild and that’s what’s going on right now. That’s the beauty of Ubuntu.

Dad

My father died 34 years ago today. I can remember getting a visit from our leading chief at the Naval Dispensary where I worked at the time. I was twenty years old and over a thousand miles from home. I was lucky. I wasn’t in a war zone like some of today’s twenty year olds are. Hearing about the death of your father can be a traumatic experience. I wasn’t totally surprised by the news. My Dad had been sick for a number of years prior to his death. A grain of salt

My brother sent me an interesting media file on Friday which detailed a remarkable discovery. A cancer researcher discovered that salt water can be used as a fuel. It might even be able to power your vehicle. This will be bad news to the oil industry. I hope they don’t buy it up and silence … Read more

Messiah

I just finished reading a book I read rather quickly because it was tough to put down. I recommend “The Messiah of Morris Avenue.” I think it’s a timely book and I wasn’t quite prepared for its message and ending. I’ve thought for a long time if Jesus ever did come back to earth that … Read more
